Finally received my Lupron shot on Friday. Can I just say that needle is ENORMOUS. I was totally bracing myself leaning against the counter…such a vulnerable position I might add, but the nurse was AH-MAZING…I didn’t feel a thing! For once I’m not cursing the extra padding I’ve got back there…I think it saved me ;) I know symptoms won’t start showing up for a while but so far I’m just getting tired earlier at night and my sinuses are draining for the first time in forever :( of course that may have more to do with the constant rain and weather changes we’ve been experiencing. Still spotting…but a little crampier than usual…waiting for af I suppose.

Still truckin’ along on my diet. I keep sneaking in sugar here and there but I’ve been really good about the gluten/dairy aspects. It really has helped with my digestive probs. I feel less bloated too (no more tight jeans!!) So far, so good.

  1. Hello everyone,
I am 49 years old.I had a laproscopic myomectomy 4years ago to remove fibriods. They came back in 4years so I had a UAE procedure. I am in the process of waiting for the fibriods to shrink. I am researching Lupron if this doesn’t work. Is there anyone out there who has had a good experience with this drug?
    thanks for your imput.

    • I have to say, all in all, Lupron was a great drug. I had some side effects like an occasional headache. I’d say the most bothersome was the hot flashes (especially during the summer ;). Also a loss of libido. But I would do it all again. Hope you have found some answers on your quest for the right cure.
